Treatment of Syndactyly
Separation of the fused digit, also called syndactyly release, is a common procedure performed to create a normal webspace. This surgery is typically performed when the child is older than three months of age. Syndactyly release is often combined with a skin graft procedure to put skin along the inner aspect of the separated digits.
